The Employment Law Department acts for both
employers and employees. It is important to know your rights
as an employee.
There have been many changes in legislation in recent years.
It is often the case that employees have out of date information
or are not aware of any new rights.
We can help in situations whilst you are still employed or where
you have left employment for whatever reason. Some common situations
are: |
- if your conditions of employment have
changed in a way which does not allow you to work any more
- if you have been dismissed for reasons of
sex, race or for being pregnant
- if you have been dismissed in a manner you
think is unfair, for example without consultation, warnings
or notice
- if you have been made redundant in a way
you feel is unfair, for example without consultation
- if you need advice on a compromise agreement
|
We can provide advice from answering one question through
to representation at an Employment Tribunal.
More information is available in the employment section for
businesses on this site. Click on the link on the left to go
there.
Legal Aid is not available to
any employee to bring a claim before an Employment Tribunal.
Consideration may be given to accepting any instructions
on the basis of a Contingency Fee – for further details
