Our Conveyancing Service Promise

As members of the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) you can be assured our conveyancers will provide you with a high quality, professional service. As well as the rigorous assessment required to maintain CQS membership we agree to deliver client services in compliance with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme Client Charter, which is set out below:

What you can expect from us:

  • When you contact us to discuss your sale or purchase we will explain clearly the steps in the process and what you can expect from your solicitor
  • We will tell you what the costs will be
  • We will keep you informed of progress on your sale or purchase
  • We will work in line with the quality standards of the Law Society’s CQS

We will:

  • Treat you fairly
  • Be polite and professional
  • Respond promptly to your enquiries
  • Tell you about any problems as soon as we are aware of them
  • Ask for your feedback on our service

The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society who meet the demanding standards set by the scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsmen and the Association of British Insurers. In addition to the Law Society's verification of our service quality we have our own promise of service standards as set out below:-

  • We will provide you with a written quotation that we will stick to
  • We promise you a quick and efficient service, flexible enough to cater for your individual needs
  • We will keep you informed at all times of what is going on with your transaction
  • We will reply to your calls, letters and e-mails on the same day, whenever possible
  • We will liaise with your estate agent and mortgage lender
  • If you don't have a mortgage, we'll look after the deeds to your house free of charge
  • We will give you a full written report on the legal documents relating to your move
  • We will communicate in plain English, and will always be happy to answer your questions
