Andrea Beesley-Hewitt is a Partner in the Private Client Department. She joined Hegarty upon qualification in December 2007 and following two years’ experience at another local firm she returned to the firm in April 2017.
Andrea specialises in Court of Protection work and has a keen interest in the work. This involves making Deputyship Applications for both Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare and also includes making Statutory Will applications in respect of persons unable to make a Will themselves. She can also make applications to the Court for permission to enable Attorneys/Deputies to make gifts to or payments on behalf of family members and friends as part of estate planning. Andrea helps individuals and their families at a very difficult and daunting time.

Additionally, Andrea specialises in Wills, Powers of Attorney, care fee planning and is building up expertise in personal injury trusts. She offers a flexible and sympathetic approach and works very hard to explain these complex areas of law in plain and straightforward language.
Andrea is also a Dementia Champion and a member of the Peterborough Dementia Action Alliance group. She is a member of the Law Society’s Private client Section and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
