Matthew Sidebottom is the head of the Commercial Litigation department and a partner at Hegarty Solicitors.
Matthew has been with Hegarty Solicitors since 1986. He joined then qualified with the firm after completing his studies at the London School of Economics and College of Law, London.
Overseeing all aspects of commercial litigation, Matthew specialises in contentious probate, boundary disputes, High Court litigation, defamation and planning.
His considerable experience has led Matthew to be asked to speak on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on the subject of commercial litigation.
Matthew is a key member of the Rural/Agricultural Sector team. He has experience of contentious agricultural matters and recently acted in a high profile farm dispute involving Breach of Trust issues and insolvency. Matthew successfully resolved this case with the farm assets being preserved.
Having grown up in Peterborough, Matthew has strong links with the local community. He is a governor at Caverstede Early Years Centre and a governor at Marshfields Special School.
