The residential conveyancing department at Hegarty Solicitors is structured in such a way as to ensure efficiency of service and expedite the often complex process. The department work in teams, with each team headed by a Fee Earner (solicitor, conveyancing executive or legal executive) who carries out the more complex work, negotiates with the 'other side' and generally manages the transaction. Each Fee Earner is supported by a Case Handler and a secretary. The Case Handler has legal knowledge and can carry out less complex work such as issuing quotes, instructing and chasing searches and answering queries. The Case Handlers are client facing. The secretaries provide administrative support to the teams.
