  • Q. I work three days a week but recently have been doing an extra day as overtime.  Am I entitled to an extra day’s holiday as a result?A. If your normal working week is three days per week you would be entitled to twelve days’ paid holiday per year, plus the statutory and bank holidays.Working overtime does not increase the number of days you are entitled to, however working overtime does entitle you to receive an increased rate of holiday pay as you should, whilst exercising your statutory leave, receive the average wage inclusive of the overtime you have worked in the preceding twelve weeks prior to your holiday. To speak to Katie Bowen Nicholas about any aspect of Employment Law call 01733 295 672 or email katie.bowennicholas@hegarty.co.uk.
