The seminar is free to attend for clients and contacts of Hegarty Solicitors and Anne Corder Recruitment and is an ideal opportunity to meet other professionals and ensure you are up to date with the latest employment law and HR news.

Persistent Short-Term Absence – Martin Bloom
The cost of workplace absence to businesses continues to rise. Last year it is estimated that the cost for employers was over £18 billion. Most employers will tolerate a certain amount of absence, but persistent periods can become damaging. Martin Bloom will consider the legal issues arising when dealing with such problems.

Protecting an Employer’s Reputation – Tim Thompson
Employers understandably are protective of their reputation. In his talk, Tim Thompson will look at decisions taken by the courts in this area. He will highlight some specific areas including social media, data protection and criminal wrong-doing.

Case Law – Martin Bloom
Martin will discuss some of the most important employment law cases decided over the last 12 months and the implications they may have on all businesses. A must-have update for HR professionals and managers!
