Hegarty Solicitors are pleased to announce the promotion of three experienced solicitors. Company law solicitor Ashley Sutherland, family solicitor Chris Brown and commercial property solicitor Joy Plummer have all been promoted to associate solicitor.
Ashley Sutherland joined Hegarty Solicitors in 2008 and qualified as a solicitor with the firm in 2010. Ashley advises businesses on a range of corporate law matters and is the firm’s contract specialist. In 2014, she won the Peterborough and District Law Society’s Young Lawyer of the Year Award. Ashley commented “I am delighted my commitment and effort has been recognised with this promotion and look forward to continuing to deliver excellent service to clients in my new role”.
Chris Brown joined the firm in 2012 and specialises in family matters, advising and assisting clients in relation to the division of assets and resources when a marriage breaks down. Chris also has specific expertise in representing separated parents who cannot agree on child arrangements and is an experienced advocate who has been regularly representing clients in the Family Court since 2006. In addition to his promotion to associate solicitor, Chris Brown has also moved from the Stamford office of Hegarty Solicitors to Peterborough.
Joy Plummer joined Hegarty Solicitors in 2014. She specialises in commercial property related matters including buying and selling properties, negotiating agreements, landlord and tenant matters and land law. As a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, a member of the Country Land and Business Association and the National Farmers’ Union Joy has particular expertise in rural land and property related matters.
