Andrew Hornsby is a partner in the Commercial Litigation department. After studying at De Montfort University and qualifying in 1996, Andrew joined Hegarty Solicitors in 2007 and was made an Associate in 2008. Andrew’s commitment to achieving the best results possible for his clients resulted in his promotion to partner on 1st May 2015.
Andrew’s expertise lies within all areas of commercial litigation including contentious construction matters, contentious probate disputes insolvency, contract, company and shareholder disputes, injunctions, derivative actions and litigious employment related issues.
He is an accredited Mediator and is also a member of the Law Society Commercial Dispute Resolution Panel and the Centre of Expertise for Dispute Resolution. Andrew has a flexible approach to clients’ needs and offers outside visits and out of hours appointments where this is helpful.
Andrew’s legal experience has led him to be asked to write on commercial and litigious matters for local and regional media. A keen supporter of children’s education, Andrew is often asked to speak at local events on behalf of Peterborough Skills, a local education charity.
