Sarah joined Hegarty Solicitors in July 2021 as a Paralegal in the Family Department, having previously worked for Hegarty Solicitors in 2013/2014 as a Legal Secretary within the Department.  Prior to joining Hegarty Solicitors, Sarah was employed as a Legal Officer within the Child Protection Team, Legal Services for the Local Authority in Peterborough for six years. Sarah has predominantly worked within Law Firms since leaving College after studying for her A-Levels as a Receptionist/Legal Secretary, gradually moving to the role of Legal Secretary in Family Law and progressing to the role of Paralegal at another Family Law Practice.

Sarah began her training with the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) in September 2005 completing ILEX Part 1 Year 1 and again in September 2006 completing ILEX Part 1 Year 2 and thereafter successfully completing the Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law. Sarah also holds an Associate Member status with ILEX. Sarah is currently training through CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) as a Student Member to complete the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ) Foundation, Advanced and Professional Qualifications. She is also a student member of Resolution.

Sarah assists Lesley Knight within the Family Department, meeting with clients and taking instructions in order to prepare the necessary documents for Court Hearings. Sarah also assists clients with Change of Name deeds.
